For more than 15 years Joe DeAngelis has
provided counseling, psychotherapy, consultation
and education to individuals, couples and groups.
He maintains his fulltime private practice in Arlington.

He has advanced training in Individual psychotherapy
and Contemporary Psychoanalysis, as well as advanced
training in Couples Therapy and Group Therapy.

He has Masters Degrees in Clinical Social Work and
Pastoral Counseling from Boston College. He currently
studies at the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis.

People see Joe for various reasons. Some are having
difficulty adjusting to a current situation in their life,
while others have more longstanding struggles
with depression, anxiety, or close relationships.

His personal and professional experience has taught
him that our unwanted repetitive behaviors are often
driven by thoughts and feelings that are beyond our
conscious awareness; and that we can use what IS within
our awareness to understand and change how we live.

His patients often have a deep sense of satisfaction as
they change long-held ways of thinking, feeling and
acting with spouses/partners, friends, family and coworkers.

Joe is happy to speak with you by phone or through e-mail
to answer questions you have, or to set up an appointment.
He accepts most of the major insurance plans in this area
.
